Pretoria | Thursday 23 October 2019 | NewsLanka High Commission of Sri Lanka REPUBLIC OF ANGOLA – Mission News | Media Release | Sri Lankan envoy to the Republic of South Africa, accredited to the Republic of Angola Kumar Mallimaratchi presented his Letters of Credence to President of Angola, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Angola at a Ceremony held on 17 October 2019 in Luanda, Angola.
The President of the Republic of Angola warmly welcomed Ambassador Mallimaratchi and wished success in his assignment. The Ambassador extended warm greetings from President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena to the President of the Republic of Angola.
During the stay in the Republic of Angola, Ambassador Mallimaratchi had meetings with Minister of External Relations Manuel Domingos Augusto, Secretary General of the Ministry of External Relations Ambassador Agostinho de Carvalho Van-Dunem, Secretary of State for External Relations Tete Antonio and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Asset Management & State Holdings Dr. Valter Barros. He also met Sri Lankans living in the Republic of Angola.
